Rescue For Life: Labrador Retriever Rescue is a 501(c) (3) Not for Profit Organization that places Labradors in new homes when their present owners can no longer care for them. Volunteer support is essential for the success of the program. Through our efforts and devotion we provide loving homes and promising futures for Labs throughout the region.

All Rescue for Life Labradors are current and up to date on all vaccinations including kennel cough, rabies etc. They also receive heartworm testing and preventative treatments for both heartworm and ticks/fleas. Each Lab is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Temperament testing is performed by a certified trainer and basic obedience training is done on a daily basis.

Rescue for Life will charge a higher fee for unaltered dogs due to impending veterinary costs. Labradors who possess any dangerous or vicious propensities are NOT eligible for adoption or acceptance into this rescue program. All dogs must be evaluated prior to any surrenders. Decisions for acceptance into this Labrador rescue will be made on an individual basis.

Rescue For Life: Labrador Retriever Rescue is a non-profit organization, based in Orange County, NY and serving the greater Hudson Valley region. Rescue For Life functions solely through the kindness and generosity of unpaid volunteers and outside donations. Our mission is to place Labrador Retrievers in permanent, loving homes when their present owners can no longer keep them. We seek to provide less fortunate Labradors with a second chance to experience a nurturing home environment and to provide fortunate adoptive families with fulfilling opportunity to share their homes with a great pet. All Rescue For Life: Labrador Retriever Rescue dogs are spayed and neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and temperament assessment done prior to placement in adoptive homes.
