Rescue For Life: Labrador Retriever Rescue has been successfully placing Labradors in permanent homes for the past few years. It provides foster homes and arranges adoptions. Our demand for placement is growing every year. All Rescue For Life Labradors are current/up to date on all shots, tick/flea/heartworm preventative and heartworm testing, as well as, spayed and neutered prior to adoption. Obedience training is started and temperament evaluations are performed by a certified trainer.
Since PERMANENT placement is my goal for all rescued Labradors, I developed a screening process to make the proper placement for our Labradors. Please complete the application and return it as soon as possible. Thanks again and I am looking forward to placing a Labrador with you.

Want to Surrender? Surrendering your Labrador is a difficult decision. Most often giving up your lab is because of a common handling issue. We only accept Pure Breed Labrador Retrievers. Currently, RFLLRR can only accept dogs for the Hudson Valley Region in NY. We are a all volunteer rescue group, accepted Labradors could take up to 1 month or more for us to find a foster home for your Labrador. To Surrender a Labrador you must have the following: 1. Have no history of any bites or aggressions this includes but not limited to guarding toys and food, dog and cat aggression. 2. Must be up to date on all shots 3. Must be neutered/spayed 4. Pass a temperament evaluation 5. Be surrendered with the required surrender fee $200.00. 6. Must be surrendered with a VALID HEALTH CERTIFICATE, signed by a veterinarian 7. Must sign a surrender form giving ownership to RFLLRR 8. A digital photo your Labrador sent to our email address rescuelabs@earthlink.net 9. Complete our online application for surrender Our referral program: 1. Same as the 1-4 on the surrendered dog instructions 2. You are responsible for the interviewing and meeting the prospective owners. If you purchased your Labrador from a breeder, CONTACT THEM FIRST. Ethical breeders feel responsible for every puppy.
