About
Us
Thanks
you for your interest in Rescue For Life: Labrador
Retriever Rescue. I am delighted to have this
opportunity to share more information with you about the
program and
myself.
Personally, I love Labradors and am committed to finding quality
homes for all deserving Labs. My first rescue, unofficially, was
"Ruger". He was 18 months old when I adopted him from
his abusive owners and has absolutely thrived in the nurturing environment
of my home. When I rescued Ruger he was overweight and hand shy.
In the 16 months he lived with his previous owners he had never
been housebroken, taught to walk on a leash, and never even learned
to retrieve. Ruger's interactions with people were extremely limited;
he was left unattended in a apartment for most of the day. Ruger's
behavior was understandably appalling when he first come to our
home, but he has become an ideal family dog. Without fail, he is
exceedingly friendly towards our family, strangers and other pets.
Ruger's experience has been the most rewarding of experiences and
has inspired me to organize this rescue. I intend to provide other
Labradors with the same opportunity for better lives. Rescue For
Life: Labrador Rescue has been successfully placing Labradors in
permanent homes for the past 3 yrs. It provides foster homes and
arranges adoptions.
All
Rescue For Life Labradors are current/up to date on all shots,
tick/flea/heartworm preventative
and heartworm testing, spay and neutered prior to adoption.
Obedience
training is started and temperament evaluations preformed
by a certified trainer. Since PERMANENT placement is
my goal for all rescued Labradors, I developed a screening
process
to make the proper placement for our Labradors. Thanks
again and I am looking forward to placing a Labrador with
you.
Sincerely,
Denise Ward President/Founder
